In our area you will certainly get a taste of Scotland. You will find a tremendous variety of international cuisine throughout the area. From trendy cafes and coffee shops, to bars and tapas or la carte evening dining, there are plenty of excellent restaurants where you'll find meals to remember. Some are Michelin star rated and some hold the Taste of Scotland award.


Stirling City Centre (4 miles), Falkirk Town Centre (6 miles), Glasgow City Centre (19 miles), Edinburgh City Centre (25 miles), Perth City Centre (25 miles) all offer quality high street shopping and department stores. Local towns of Bridge of Allan, Callander and Auchterarder offer boutique shopping plus specialist gift shops, craft and local food and produce shops. Stirling holds a weekly farmers market.


Stirling has many places for art, cultural, music and comedy events and has its own Stirling Fringe Festival. The MacRobert Theatre in Stirling holds theatre shows, pantomines, plays, films and events daily. Stirling’s Tolbooth Theatre also holds daily evening events and regularly hosts music bands of all genres, and well known national comedians. Glasgow is known as the city of culture, and Edinburgh has its own Fringe Festival.


There is 3 miles of walkways at Wellsfield which include a nature and history trail with viewpoints. The area boasts hundreds of wildlife trails, biodiversity trails, heritage trails, waterfalls, cycle paths, and community paths for leisure activity. There are many wildlife reserves and historic sites in our area e.g. Carron Glen Wildlife Reserve, Forth Estuary RSPB reserve. Carron Valley Mountainbike Trails, Cambusbarron MTB trails, and the Ochil Hills are only a few miles away.


There are many sports complexes, stadiums and swimming pools in the area. Other popular sports include hill walking, rambling, cycling, fishing, golf, football and adventure sports. We have dozens of prestigious Golf Courses in our area and are not far from St. Andrews and Gleneagles Golf Courses.


There is so many things to do in our area, as we have the highlands just a few miles away with so many outdoor activities, and the lowland cities nearby with all the urban attractions you need. There are many entertainment centres in our area including cinemas, ten pin bowling, go-karting, ice skating, paintball, quad biking, airsoft, boating, adventure parks, safari parks, aquariums, garden centres, food stalls, farmer's markets, delicatessens, tea rooms, cafes, football stadiums, art galleries and fun parks.
