Wellsfield Farm is currently working towards achieving the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) Award.

We hope to achieve either a Gold, Silver or Bronze award for our environmental performance and conduct. We see ourselves as a Green Tourism business who is actively engaged in reducing the environmental impacts and increasing the social impacts of our tourism and leisure operations.

We are “Going Green” by doing the following :

• Complying with environmental legislation and improving our environmental performance.
  
  
• Practicing good environmental management, making sound green business decisions to help the environment both within the farm and outside the farm.
  
  
• Providing links to our local community e.g. school pupil farm visits to educate children on environmental and rural issues and the environmental improvement projects on the farm.

We are improving on Energy and Water Efficiency, Green Purchasing, Waste Reduction, Recycling and we are increasing biodiversity.
