All activities are “on site” at Wellsfield Farm. We cater for individuals though to groups of any size and can tailor events and packages to suit your requirements and budget.

We have a dedicated event management team on hand to organise your very own bespoke event. We can help you organise everything from your activities to catering and accommodation to ensure your day is a success.

Activities Summary:

Archery is conducted on our purpose built outdoor grass 35m archery range. Our qualified archery instructor represented Great Britain in the LA Olympics. He will teach you how to shoot the arrows safely from our recurve bows into the archery bosses at various distances. We have right handed and left handed recurve adult and kids archery bows. You can shoot arrows at targets, and also balloons and animal targets if you wish.

Trout Fishing, Fly Fishing Lessons & Casting Instruction, Bait & Spin Fishing Lessons are all enjoyed at Wellsfield Trout Fishery. We have 3 lochans for fly fishing and bait fishing totaling 12 acres in a 30 acre fishery site. We can accommodate 90 anglers at any one time. We offer a wide range of angling club and corporate event activities at Wellsfield Fishery including: Fishing Club Outings, Corporate Team Building Days, Corporate Client Entertainment Days, Fly Fishing Lessons & Casting Instruction, (Individual & Group Sessions), Bait Fishing & Spinning Lessons (Individual & Group Sessions), Full Lochan Hire, Increased fish stocking prior to your event, Tagged Trout Competition, Buffet Catering: Breakfast Rolls / Lunch Buffets / Evening Buffets (Hot & Cold), Barbeques (Beef, Pork, Lamb, Venison, Fish), Trophy Presentation & Prize Giving Ceremonies, Raffle Prizes, Charity fundraising at your event, Wheelbarrow and Ice for Drinks. Horse & Pony Riding is done on the farm. We have over 25 riding school horses and ponies for your use and enjoyment. We offer horse riding lessons indoors and outdoors, horseback hacking on over 6km of bridal paths over the land, children’s pony rides, supervised loan a pony days and pony ride birthday parties. All activities can be done in groups.

Laser Shot simulated clay target and game shooting is done indoors in our clubhouse. It involves the use of a laser gun and is 100% safe for all ages. Simulated games include Trap Clays, Speed Trap Clays, Mallard Mania, Pheasant Flush, Quail Crazy, Prairie Dog Hunt, Varmint Town, Wild West Shooting Gallery, Marksman, Field Targets and Target Range. Our instructor will organise your event and team scoring for competition purposes!

Mini Highland Games / Sumo Wrestling Suits / Gladiators This fun event includes: Tossing the Caber, Shot Putt, Weight over the Bar, Horseshoe Throwing, Fly Casting, Wellie Throwing, Mini Golf plus Highland Music, Sumo Wrestling Suits, Gladiator Games. Our highland games instructor will organise your event and individual/team scoring for competition purposes!

Falconry is done at various locations on the farm and also off site if required. Our Falconers have over 25 years in the ancient art of Falconry. We have over 20 Birds of Prey for you to experience. We offer Falconry Lessons, a Meet the Birds Session, a Hawk Hunting Walk for live game, and a complete Falconry Adventure day. You will get up close and personal to the birds, and have the opportunity to see, handle and try your arm at flying a selection of birds of prey including Harris Hawks, Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Saker Falcon, European & Bengal Eagle Owls and Barn Owls and Buzzards.

Team Building Events We can offer various team building activities and can tailor a package to suit your individual requirements. They are all leisure based, exciting, interesting and fun. Some activities involve team work and partnership, others are more competitive. We can tailor events to your requirements. e.g. team working or competition based events. Our fun days are great relationship builder. Your people get to know each other and have fun in a stress free, relaxed and friendly environment.

Clubhouse Exclusive Use Our new clubhouse is located at the fishery. It is comfortable and cosy and has a real countryside feel to it. The clubhouse can comfortably seat up to 30 people and be used for a multitude of reasons, from meetings and presentations through to being a gathering point or base for activities. You can have exclusive private use of the clubhouse for your event to store belongings and equipment and to socialise and enjoy various catering arrangements that we offer including Buffet Catering and BBQ’s. We have private parking for over 40 cars at the fishery plus coach parking. In addition we have private parking for over 50 cars at the farm reception. There are purpose built gents and ladies toilets at the clubhouse and a disabled unisex toilet.

Catering Options. We offer various catering options at Wellsfield. There is an Italian Coffee Shop and Café on site. We do Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, Black Coffee, White Coffee, Decaff Coffee and others including flavoured coffees using various syrups. We also serve High Teas, Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows, Milkshakes, Snacks, Cakes & Biscuits, Cold Drinks and Ice Creams. We also serve food including Baked Potatoes, Sandwiches, Panini’s, Toasties, Nachos, Hot Dogs, Burgers, Pizzas and Fries. We also offer buffet catering including Breakfast Rolls / Lunch Buffets / Evening Buffets (Hot & Cold), Soup & Sandwiches, Barbeques (Beef, Pork, Lamb, Venison, and Fish). We can deliciously BBQ your freshly caught Rainbow Trout immediately after it has been caught or tempt you with some local Wellsfield Farm Roe Deer Venison. We can also offer spit hog roast options (e.g. full pig, half pig) for large groups.

Accommodation. Our on site self catering holiday lodges are rated 4 Stars and Quality Assured by Visit Scotland and are ideal base for you to enjoy your events on the farm and the local attractions nearby.
